About MICAD 2026
Welcome to MICAD 2025 – The 7th International Conference on Medical Imaging and Computer-Aided Diagnosis
We are pleased to welcome you to the 7th International Conference on Medical Imaging and Computer-Aided Diagnosis (MICAD 2026), which will be held in the historic city of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, from October 22 to 24, 2026. The conference will be organized in a hybrid format, allowing participation both online and onsite.
Over the past editions—Oxford (2020), the MICAD Shanghai Summer Forum (2020), Birmingham (2021), Leicester (2022), Cambridge (2023), Manchester (2024), and London (2025)—MICAD has grown into a well-established international forum that brings together researchers, clinicians, engineers, and industry professionals from around the world to exchange ideas and advances in medical imaging and computer-aided diagnosis.
As artificial intelligence continues to reshape healthcare, MICAD 2026 will
focus on the next stage of AI-driven medical imaging, emphasizing the transition from
algorithmic innovation to clinically trustworthy and deployable systems. The conference
will highlight recent progress in interdisciplinary research areas, including:
· Foundation models and large-scale learning for medical imaging
analysis
· Large Language Models (LLMs) for image interpretation, clinical
reporting, and decision support
· Advanced deep learning and transformer-based architectures for
segmentation, detection, and diagnosis
· Multi-modal learning integrating medical images, clinical data, and
reports
· Generative AI for synthetic data generation, image enhancement, and
model interpretability
· Reliability, robustness, and clinical integration of computer-aided
diagnosis systems
MICAD 2026 aims to reflect on the evolving role of artificial
intelligence in medical imaging, from methodological advances to real-world clinical
applications across radiology, pathology, and related domains.
